Smart Planning for Los Altos Hills

Single-Stream Recycling Program for LAH
The Los Altos Garbage Company and the LAH Town Council jointly support a Single-Stream Recycling Program for LAH with a goal of improving recycling by 20%. This program began in January 2006. As a part of this program, the 96-gallon blue recycling containers have been available for purchase since May 2006.

Two recent leaflets were distributed with your garbage bill. One describes a new program to recycle batteries, which have been banned by state law from the trash since January 2006. The second is a description of the single-stream program.
