Friends of Westwind Meeting March 22nd, 2006 Is the council failing its responsibility to maintain Westwind for the benefit of the Town? Over the years we've all heard stories about how the wait list for stalls was maintained in secrecy and how some Town residents felt they were passed over for non-residents. We've heard how residents would get the horses of their trainers into the Barn before residents, and so on. As far as we know, the Friends have tried to clean up their act. If anyone has any complaints about how they were treated, please forward the information to the Hills2000 Webmaster. If you wish, we will keep your name confidential. The following video is a regular Friends of Westwind Board meeting. Members of the Board appearing from left to right are: Zsuzsanna Molnar, Susie Holic (non-resident, acting Secretary), Sharon O'Malley (president), Therese Kollerer (non-resident, acting treasurer). The people appearing in the audience include: Town residents and members of Friends of Westwind: Susan; and non-residents and members of Friends of Westwind: Sharon, Amy, Stephanie, Edie, Patty, and Phyllis. Of interest is Patty Roche who appears in the audience. She has claimed to be a Town resident, and has received two stalls in the barn in the last few months. She is also the person who made the presentation for Friends at the recent March 9th Town council meeting. It has recently been brought to our attention that she lives in the uncorporated county on Canyon Rd, and although she has a LAH address, she is not a Town resident, is not on our tax rolls, and can not vote in the Town. Her incorrect use of her mailing address allowed her to jump ahead of 22 other non-residents who have each paid $50 to have their names put on the Friends wait list. We are patiently waiting to see if Friends corrects this "error." You can listen/view the meeting in two multi-media formats.
